The NFL Network is currently counting down the Top 100 current players as voted on by the other players in the league at this time. Tonight on the 51 60 slots presented, the first two of five New Orleans Saints Jimmie Ward Jersey players landed on the list and they are wide receiver Marques Colston and offensive guard Carl Nicks.

Nicks was presented former Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach, current ESPN analyst, and close friend of Coach Sean Payton Jon Gruden. The inclusion of Nicks is really no surprise as he has certainly become the anchor of the Saints’ offensive line and been a huge reason that quarterback Drew Brees ends up on Carlos Hyde Jersey the turf as little as he does.
The guard out of Nebraska is going to enter his fourth season and has played in 48 games while starting 45 of them. During his rookie season, Nicks was inserted into the starting line up after Jamar Nesbit was suspended for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. He hasn’t been taken out since.
On the other hand, Colston is a guy that wasn’t necessarily expected to be on the list, especially with suffering a handful of injuries throughout his so far five year career and never once landing on a Pro Bowl sqauad. Still, the players around the league are who voted for this list and it is ovious that they feel he is deserving.
Colston was presented by Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma.
"When you look at what he’s accomplished over the last five years, and he’s been one of the most consistent, steady performers in the league without a doubt, I don’t think he gets the credit that he deserves," Saints quarterback Drew Brees said last week. "I think it’s just because he does everything quietly. He’s a quiet guy. He’s certainly not a self promoter by any means. That’s a little unusual at his position, just because there are so many strong personalities throughout the league at the wide receiver position.
"The guy practices extremely hard, he takes pride in what he does. I love the way you rarely see him drop a ball, and when he does he is on himself, so he’s constantly policing himself, constantly checking himself. Nothing ever gets just blown off with Marques Colston. He is very focused and diligent with his technique and what he’s trying to accomplish. He is a great player, but he wants to be an even better player, and I feel like we’ve got a lot of great years together. I’m excited just about him, and I love the way he works and I love his attitude, too. I love the silent storm."
The tall and quiet wide receiver has 5,097 receiving yards on 369 receptions with 40 touchdowns during his five year career.
Three more Saints will land on the list which airs every Sunday night on the NFL Network. And just think Who Dat Nation, that means the final three Saints are in the Top 50 as voted by current players. Seems that respect which has been lost for so long is finally coming around.
